Journal of Public Deliberation aims to “synthesize the research, opinion, projects, experiments and experiences of academics and practitioners in the emerging multi-disciplinary field of deliberative democracy … to help improve future research endeavors in this field and aid in the transformation of modern representative democracy into a more citizen friendly form.” It publishes some papers relevant to i2S, especially on dialogue. For example, relevant papers published in 2013 covered: stakeholder and citizen roles, dialogue moderation and employment of boundary objects.

It is a joint venture between the Deliberative Democracy Consortium and International Association of Public Participation.
