Environmental Conservation addresses “environmental policy, practice, and natural and social science of environmental concern at the global level, informed by rigorous local level case studies. The journal’s scope is very broad, including issues in human institutions, ecosystem change, resource utilisation, terrestrial biomes, aquatic systems, and coastal and land use management.” It publishes methods relevant to i2S, as well as case studies illustrating the application of those methods. In 2013-4 this included papers on adaptive management and knowledge exchange, as well as case studies illustrating various modelling approaches and different aspects of governance.
