Conservation Biology addresses “the science and practice of conserving Earth’s biological diversity.” It encourages “diverse approaches to analyses and problem solving”, which is where it intersects with i2S, both with papers describing such approaches and case studies illustrating their application. Relevant papers in 2014 covered: resilience thinking highlighting adaptive management strategies, strategies for improving multidisciplinary collaboration, evaluating a multistakeholder approach (to tackle illegal logging), and modifying network analysis to study translocation (movement between geographically isolated locations) (for a New Zealand flightless bird).
Conservation Biology is the journal of the Society for Conservation Biology.
