The Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO) is “a regional grouping within IFORS” (International Federation of Operational Research Societies). Its aim is “to promote Operational Research throughout Europe” and to this end the association supports meetings and conferences, books and journals, and people through awards and general networking (such as through an e-newsletter). “The members of EURO are normally full members of IFORS and comprise the national OR [Operational Research] societies of countries, most of whom are located within or nearby (in a broad sense) Europe”.
It was founded in 1975.
