Administrative Science Quarterly (ASQ) publishes “the best theoretical and empirical papers on organizational studies” as well as “interdisciplinary work in organizational theory.” “Administration” is interpreted “in the broadest possible sense to include all of the processes involved in creating, coordinating, and transforming the social settings in which it occurs.” The journal “seeks to advance the understanding of management, organizations, and organizing in a wide variety of contexts, including teams, business and nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and markets.”

While the primary focus of the journal is not on research integration and implementation, ASQ publishes some papers about concepts and methods relevant to Integration and Implementation Sciences (i2S), especially on team behaviour and organisational change.

The journal is owned and managed by the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University in the USA.
