For the first I2S News of 2014 there are a range of exciting resources that continue to draw on the videos and digital posters from the First Global Conference on Research Integration and Implementation that was held in September 2013.

Drawing from the digital posters presented at the conference, two websites for learning about collaboration are showcased: (1) Learning for Sustainability (LfS) Website; and, (2) The Team Science Toolkit: Integrating and Advancing Knowledge for Team Science Website. Following this is a video resource from the conference titled: ‘Applied Implementation Science’ by Dean Fixsen.

We also outline some of the discussion occurring on our LinkedIn Group: ‘Global Network for Research Integration and Implementation’.

There is our usual featured journal, in this case: ‘Implementation Science’, plus two calls for papers, one for the special edition on arts, creativity and creative expression in action learning and action research of the Action Learning and Action Research journal; and second the special issue on new topics in interaction between university and society in Science & Technology Studies. The Action Learning Action Research Association is showcased as the featured professional organisation. Also two courses are advertised, the; (1) Global Environmental Policy Programme: Executive Summer School on Global Environmental Policy; and the, (2) Action Research and Evaluation On-Line Course.

The two featured conferences are the: (1) 9th Annual Conference of the Interdisciplinary Network for Group Research; and, (2) 58th Meeting of the International Society for the Systems Sciences (ISSS): Learning Across Boundaries: Exploring the Variety of Systemic Theory and Practice; and jointly with the American Society for Cybernetics (ASC): Living in Cybernetics. All of this is followed by the usual update to conferences that may be of interest to I2S practitioners.
